Sara Litteral of Redford won the Metro Detroit USBC Association (MDUSBC) Rip 10 Entertainment Women’s Series event on Sunday with a 207-186 triumph over Michelle Keirns of Lansing at Shelby Lanes in Utica. Litteral took home the top prize of $500, while Keirns settled for $250.
Litteral qualified eighth in the field of 30, with a four-game total of 906. Her consistent qualifying total included a high game of 245. In match play she beat Sarah Dorow of Midland 225-208 and Lisa Bishop of Garden City 247-234 en route to the championship match.
Keirns qualified eighth with 828. Her victories in match play included wins over Cassondra Mize of Toledo 202-195, top qualifier Sandra Schultz of Macomb 277-174 and Aleksandra (Sasha) Hudak of Northville 223-178 on her way to the final match.
Schultz dominated the qualifying with 987 on consistent games of 249, 257, 239 and 242.
Keirns moved into fifth place in the season long cup list with 468 points. Lisa Bishop continues to lead the list with 520 points.
