NORTHERN MICHIGAN REGION
This is event #2 for the Northern MI region of the 2022 Sprummer Sweeper Series.  Each bowler's top 4 events will count toward their individual points, and the top 1 in points will automatically cash in this region's rolloff.  The top 1 in points will also automatically cash in the 2022 Sprummer Sweeper Championship in September.

MEMBERSHIP
There is a $10 membership once again for the 2022 Sprummer Sweeper Series, and it can be payable in any of the regions. $5 can be paid in the first event bowled and the other $5 can be paid at event #2 bowled.  If you pay the $10 at or before this kickoff event, you will also receive $10 worth of raffle tickets, as we will be raffling off a bowling ball and perhaps other prizes as well.  The $10 membership only needs to be paid one time per Sprummer season and qualifies you for points in each region if you decide to bowl in other regions as well.  This event will be part of the Northern MI region.

CANCELED - The Bowlers Tournament

Squad Times

This event has been canceled due to low interest.

From Tournament Director Cori Roelofs: Well I talked to Rockford Lanes tonight, and with the few amount of entries we have decided to cancel this event. We will try to run something for the bowlers at a later date. Sorry for the few that committed, but just wouldn’t be right to take up a whole center without the commitment of more bowlers. Thanks again for everyone showed interest.

$70 entry fee.
$60 prize fund $10 lineage.
This will be bowled on two different patterns, Arsenic on the odd lanes and the Rockford Lanes house shot on the even lanes.
Open to the first 48 paid entries.

You will be bowling 4 games of qualifying, with the top 6. After the cut there will be round robin match play, with the winner getting 30 bonus pins. After the round robin match play there will be one final position round game, where 1vs2,3vs4, 5vs6, with the total pins from all 11 games, and bonus pins, determining the winner. We will be paying out 12 spots, 1:4.

Payouts based on 48 entries:

1. 600
2. 400
3. 350
4. 300
5. 250
6. 200

Balance Holes
Beginning August 1, 2020, the use of a balance hole is prohibited. The rule states all holes in a bowling ball must be used on every delivery; any hole not used is considered a balance hole, making the ball illegal. Bowlers who do not use their thumb no longer can have a thumb hole, as it now is considered a balance hole. They also need to mark their ball to show where they place their palm on delivery.

W-9 Forms
IRS is requiring that we get new W-9 forms for all bowlers who earn winnings in PBA events. Players that have filled out W-9’s in 2020 and have recently changed residence will need to fill out an updated form. This requirement pertains to all participants, whether you are a member or not.
